Bill Pearse is beginning his 12th year
with Trempealeau Mountain Golf Club. He was the 2006 Callaway
Golf's Central Region Club Fitter of the Year. Bill
is the PGA Pro and General Manager. Born and raised in
La Crosse, Wisconsin, he is from a family of eight.
His father, Dick Pearse, was a former president of the
Wisconsin State Golf Association. Bill enjoyed success
as a junior golfer. He was a member of two State High
School Championship Teams, one "City" State
Championship Team as well as being an individual State
Medalist his senior year. He played college golf at
University of Wisconsin - La Crosse.
All
along, he wanted to be a PGA Club Professional. He
started out his PGA Apprenticeship working at Rolling
Meadows Golf Course in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin. He
moved on to River Plantation Country Club in Conroe, Texas
as the First Assistant. He then helped open a (new)
Pete Dye designed course in Mesa, Arizona (Red Mountain
Ranch Country Club). He was the Head Golf Professional
for seven years before taking over as the General Manager at
Silver Springs Shores in Ocala, Florida.
Bill
worked almost 13 years with Club Corporation of America, one
of the leading golf management companies in the world.
He is very proud of his time with CCA and greatly values all
he learned regarding the business aspect of the golf
industry along with the hospitality side of the business.
Bill
and his wife Kathy (29 years) along with their son's Bryan
and Billy (and dog S'more) now reside in Holmen,
Wisconsin. After several years coaching his son's
basketball teams, he now enjoys watching his youngest,
Bryan, play basketball. Bill can be found many winter
evenings at his Trempealeau Mountain Golf Studio teaching
his oldest son Billy. Bill and Kathy are Green Bay
Packer season ticket holders and bleed Green and Gold.
His fondest memory in his golf career is his friendship with
the founders of Trempealeau Mountain, Linda and Harold
Wilber.
